Program Description: Through a grant from the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, Avalon Family Services has been providing a curriculum specific (Nurturing Program) In Home Parenting Program since 2002. The program is for 24 weeks (2 hours per week) at no cost to the participant. Participant must have at least one child in the household who is three years old or younger.

Parent education topics include: child development, discipline, stress management, nutrition, family rules, problem

solving, decision making, toilet training, etc.

Graduates from the program receive a certificate of completion.
